Nicely balanced Slurry Separation System comprising:

Fan Separator 1.1.300  2.2kw 3ph (0.75mm screen)

Wam GCWSP22 submersible chopper pump, 2.2kw 3ph

Cri ManTBM 1.5/6 1.5kw 3ph mixer plus lifting kit & bracket.

Control Panel - bespoke manufacture utilising soft starters for mixer & separator and a variable speed drive for the pump. Can be operated manually or in auto mode which sequentially switches the components on and off according to slurry levels in the reception pit.

(Soft starters allow the use of lower kw supply than would be needed if starters were DOL)

System was installed and run fully for 18 months, thereafter it was run intermittently solely for upkeep. It has now been removed at the end of tenancy.

In use we processed the slurry from a 70 cow cubicle housed herd on sawdust (and followers), with a reception pit of just under 40 cube.During a drier Winter period it  needed running every few days for up to an hour. In a wet time every day for roughly three quarters of an hour each day.

Larger herds and slurry quantities handled by running for longer.

A single phase DGBlue 150/2/G50 pump (50mm outlet)is also included for back filling the reception pit in times when the slurry is very thick and needs diluting prior to separation.

(The Fan Separator is exactly the same as a Bauer S300)
